Mary Clare Fischer is an editorial intern at American Journalism Review as well as a senior journalism and government and politics major at the University of Maryland. She's also a section editor at The Diamondback, the University of Maryland's Independent Student Newspaper. Her writing has appeared in Kiplinger's Personal Finance, The Baltimore Sun, Capital News Service, Zócalo Public Square, Bethesda Magazine, Street Sense and The Diamondback.
