Bleacher Report Takes the Cake
October 15, 2013

I have a routine each morning.  I smack the alarm clock, roll over and reach for my Droid X, which has been charging on the bed stand just a few feet away.  I can usually expect a few notifications each morning: a few text messages, some emails and maybe a Snapchat here or there.  But for a Philadelphia-area sports fan living just outside of Washington D.C., there’s one particular application on my phone that keeps me up to date with the freshest sports news: Team Stream by Bleacher Report.

In 2011, Bleacher Report, a sports digital media company based in San Francisco, released this news aggregation application, tailored specifically to the mega-sports fans.  And, better yet, the application is almost fool proof.  Here’s how you do it.  Open up the Team Stream application on your Android, iPhone, iPad, or any other smart technology, and you will be asked to select your favorite teams.  Using location technology, Team Stream will automatically list all of the local teams for every sport in your area.  By selecting a team or sport, you’re essentially signing up for news updates for that topic.  And Team Stream has not skimped on the options, folks.  MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, Soccer, Golf, Tennis, MMA, Boxing, WWE, Nascar and College are among the many options the application lists.

Simply put, this is a must have application for anyone who considers themselves a sports fan. The Next Web (TNW), a website that reviews media startups, called Team Stream, “The best damn sports app, period,” in 2011.

As an avid sports fan, I had heard murmurs for a while about how great the Team Stream app was and how much I needed it.  After a good amount of prodding from my brother, I finally gave in about six months ago.  Within an hour, I knew I had made the right choice.  Team Stream by Bleacher Report is simply the best sports news application available on the market today.
