Sean Mussenden

Sean Mussenden is co-editor of American Journalism Review (AJR.org), running the digital publication with co-editor Leslie Walker and news editor Lisa Rossi. A former Washington correspondent, he oversees two experiential, hands-on journalism programs at the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism that are integral to the college's "teaching hospital" model of professional instruction: AJR and Capital News Service (a 25-year-old professional news organization covering Maryland news). He also teaches traditional courses incorporating data visualization, programming, web development, web design, data analysis, social media and computational journalism.
